Fotografía cedida por el antiguo gerente del Canòdrom, Josep Navarro. Ocupó este puesto desde 1996 al 2006. Antes de trabajar en el canódromo de la Meridiana, trabajaba en el canódromo de Plaza España. Ahí comenzó de bien joven, justo al acabar el servicio militar obligatorio. En la fotografía vemos un Derbi, uno de los eventos de carreras de galgos más importantes que se celebraban en el Canòdrom. Al ser una de las carreras más relevantes, se invitaba también a la Guardia Urbana a realizar un desfile. Uno de los participantes de la Jornada de Documentación Colectiva bromea: “de pequeños veníamos y nos colábamos en el Canòdrom, a ver si perdía la liebre, ¡porque siempre ganaba!

The photograph was provided by the former manager of the Canòdrom, Josep Navarro, who held the position from 1996 to 2006. Before working at the Canòdrom de la Meridiana, he worked at the Canòdrom in Plaça Espanya. He started there when he finished his compulsory military service. In the photograph, we see a Derbi, one of the most important greyhound racing events that took place at the Canòdrom. As these were the most relevant races, the Guàrdia Urbana was also invited to parade. One of the participants in the Collective Documentation Day jokes: "When we were kids, we used to sneak into the Canòdrom to see if the hare would lose because it always won!"
