Visits to the Dog Racing Track

🎙️ Collective documenttion

The participants in the collective documentation, upon looking at this image, once again recall the mistreatment of greyhounds, gambling, and the dark side of the dog racing track. Then, delving deeper into the image, they highlight the harsh post-war years and how the country was gradually rebuilt. "The post-war period was very tough... In those early days, people weren't into entertainment: they worked, studied, and tried to get ahead, some even had to get out of jail and make a living". The image also reminds them of the emergence of a new social class and purchasing power, which took the first steps to reactivate some sectors of the economy.
