DWeb Node: Construction of an experimental network

Imagine that in a village, three neighbors want to share the same connection to pool resources, without the involvement of any telecommunications company. They can achieve this by simply setting up a mesh network, where different devices or nodes are interconnected in a decentralized manner, resembling a tree with numerous branches. This is precisely what we aim to establish at Canòdrom: a decentralized experimental network based on open-source software.

The newly established free network at Canòdrom stands as the sole public infrastructure in the city of Barcelona dedicated to experimenting with and promoting free and secure technologies that remain independent of major corporations. All individuals interested in understanding the project and contributing to its development are warmly welcomed to participate.
