Descripción (English)

  • -

Are you involved in the cultural sector? Do you find joy in attending theaters, concerts, or exhibitions? Do you believe that cultural creation can become more democratic, sustainable, and ethical?

The EinESS cycle showcases projects, platforms, methodologies, and technologies related to open and free digital culture that hold significant value for cultural environments within the realm of the social and solidarity economy. Our objective is to champion and spread technologies, services, methodologies, and best practices within cultural ecosystems and social sectors.

In this session, we will embark on a journey through digital culture and artificial intelligence through conversations with experts in the local digital culture scene, with an exciting surprise conclusion.

    Ona Bros

Photographer, visual artist, and researcher. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Art History (UB), a Bachelor's in Photography (UOC), and a Master's in Art Production and Research (UB). She primarily works with photography, video, writing, and live arts. She has studied online domestic memory narratives with the Memorybytes project, digital environments of sexually explicit images, and the imaginaries of biotechnosciences. She co-founded FUGA, a cooperative space for the transmission of photographic culture in Barcelona.

    Mónica Rikić

Electronic artist. National Culture Award of Catalonia 2021 recipient. She develops her practice through code and creative electronics, combining them with non-digital objects to create interactive projects and robotic installations. Her focus lies in the social impact of technologies and critical thinking around artificial intelligence. Her projects have been exhibited in various national and international institutions and festivals for over a decade.

    Esther Dow

Esther Dow is an experimental musician and instrument designer with a long history of live performances rooted in the underground scene of improvised music in Barcelona. She draws inspiration from the sonic landscape and durability of early grindcore (Napalm Death) and noise (MSBR, KK-Null, The Incapacitants). The themes in her productions reflect her personal experiences, job insecurity, mental health, and transgender identity. In addition to her performances, she is a dedicated event organizer and promoter within the local scene. She has collaborated on various film productions, installations, and performances.

    Antònia Folguera

She defines herself as a "multimedia adventurer." She is a curator, communicator, and something of a cultural producer, but not entirely. She works at the intersection of digital art, culture, and electronic music. She is a curator at Sónar+D (the congress of creative technologies of Sónar), is part of the team at the XRCB (Network of Community Radios of Barcelona), has been organizing "Dorkbot Barcelona, People Doing Strange Things with Electricity" for 16 years, and collaborates with festivals such as Eufònic, STRP, and Keroxen, among others.
